Recently, Help A Child Of India conducted a comprehensive Child Protection Training program in collaboration with Kolkata District Child Development Unit under Department of Women and Child Development & Social Welfare – Govt. of West Bengal with aimed at equipping children, community members, educators, and caregivers with knowledge to safeguard children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The program focused on raising awareness about child rights, identifying signs of maltreatment & abuse, understanding legal frameworks and reporting mechanisms to ensure child safety. Through interactive workshops and expert-led sessions, participants were empowered in creating safer environments for children, emphasizing prevention and timely intervention.

This initiative is vital as it addresses the growing need to protect vulnerable children in our communities, fostering a culture of vigilance and responsibility. The training covered critical topics such as recognizing physical and emotional abuse, online safety, and the importance of open communication with children. A total of 63 participants, including teachers, parents, and local leaders, actively engaged in the program, gaining practical skills and awareness to champion child protection.
