GENERAL HEALTH CHECK UP FOR THE STUDENTS AT PULIANTHOPE, CHENNAI CHILD EDUCATION EXCELLENCE PROJECT

Event Description
The Child Education Excellence Project (CEEP) organised a Basic Health Appraisal Camp for children who attends the CEEP classes, to assess overall health and promote basic health awareness. The camp was supported by Dr. Blessy and her team. The main objective of this camp is to monitor growth by tracking height, weight, and BMI to ensure healthy development and to identify potential health problems like vision or hearing issues and development delays. Also to promote healthy habits like physical activity and hygiene. Health profiles of 21 children were documented. Most students were found to be in good health. Three students required attention (mild anaemic & Overweight) and were advised follow iron rich diet and exercise. Three students have vision problem and were advised to come for further screening and to wear spectacles. One Child has Cardiac disorder. She is taking medications regularly. One child has challenge in menstrual cycle. She was advised to take medication and screenings if it continues. The Basic Health Appraisal Camp successfully achieved its objectives, reassuring students that no serious health complications were identified. The medical team, CEEP staff, and volunteers remain committed to promoting and maintaining overall health and well-being.
