On 12-aug-2026, Amritsar Child Education Excellence Project (CEEP), a project of Help A Child of India, organized an
Awareness Talk on “Role of Parents in Children’s Learning” at Housing Board Colony, Ranjit Avenue,
Amritsar. The session was conducted to create awareness among parents about the importance of their
involvement in their children’s education, regular learning support, motivation, and development of
positive study habits at home. Dr. Indira Virk, College Professor, and Mrs. Rajinderpal Kaur, Ret. Govt School Principal , were the
key speakers. They shared valuable guidance on effective parenting, supporting children’s studies,
understanding their learning needs, encouraging regular practice, and creating a positive learning
environment at home. A total of 30 parents attended the awareness session and actively participated in the discussion.
Parents appreciated the practical guidance and expressed their commitment to becoming more
involved in their children’s learning and educational progress.
The programme concluded with a message that active parental support and encouragement can
significantly improve children’s confidence, learning outcomes, and overall development.
